Airport Shuttles
Airport transfers (shuttle) are available through Alice Wanderer Airport Transfers. Their service meets every flight arriving into Alice Springs and they will transfer you directly to your accommodation. Return Transfer can be pre booked online www.alicewanderer.com.au, from your hotel reception, at the Airport or alternatively call their office on 1800 722 111.
The first two passengers are $16 per person and each additional passenger is $11 (one way). Contact the office direct for group discounts and private charters.
Taxi fares are approximately $40.00 – $45.00 one way.
Climate

Central Australia is a semi arid environment and experiences all four of Australia's seasons – summer, autumn, winter and spring. Central Australia's climate is one of clear blue skies through most of the year, infrequent rain and an average of 9 hours of sunshine all day. This is a typical weather pattern of a desert region which has low erratic rainfall, long hot summers and short, sunny winters with frosty mornings.
Summer (December – February) has hot days and nights
Autumn (March – May) has warm days and nights, cooling down after summer
Winter (June – August) has cool sunny days with cold nights
Springs (September – November) has warm days and nights
What to wear
Most of the year casual clothing is best – cool, light, comfortable clothing in summer. During Autumn and Spring evenings, a light jacket may be required. During winter, warm sensible clothing is recommended, especially in the evenings, as the nights are cold and crisp.
Contact During the Conference
As a courtesy to speakers, delegates are requested to switch off mobile phones and pagers during sessions. Messages can be left at the Registration Desk. Delegates will need to check with the Registration Desk if they are expecting any messages.
Goods and Services Tax
Goods and services in Australia are subject to a 10% tax (GST). This tax is usually included in the price, and if not, is clearly stated. This tax cannot be claimed back when leaving the country.

Insurance
Delegates are advised to book comprehensive travel and medical insurance and ensure that all possessions are adequately insured. The policy should include loss of fees/deposits through cancellation of your participation in the conference. The Conference Managers will not accept any responsibility for delegates failing to arrange insurance.
Liability Disclaimer
The Organising Committee, including the Conference Managers, will not accept liability for damages of any nature sustained by participants or their accompanying persons or loss or damage to their personal property as a result of the meeting or related events. In the event of industrial disruption or other unforeseen circumstances, The Conference Managers accept no responsibility for loss of monies.
Name Badges
All delegates will be given a name badge upon registration. This name badge is your official pass to the conference. It is necessary for delegates to wear their name badge at all time when on-site.
No Smoking Policy
Delegates should be aware that smoking is banned in public buildings and many hotels and restaurants in Australia, including the conference venue.
